Terms of Use – PGx Clinical Decision Support (PGx-CDS) Application

Welcome to the Pharmacogenomic Clinical Decision Support (PGx-CDS) Application (“Application”), developed for All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) Bhopal. By accessing or using the Application, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms of Use.

1. Intended Use

The Application is intended exclusively for use by authorized healthcare professionals and approved research personnel.

The Application provides evidence-linked pharmacogenomic clinical decision support to assist healthcare professionals during clinical evaluation and medication selection.

The Application:

• Provides pharmacogenomic-based clinical decision support recommendations.
• Supports evidence-based prescribing decisions.
• Does not provide medical diagnosis or independently determine treatment decisions.

2. Clinical Disclaimer

The Application is intended solely as a clinical decision support tool.

Information generated by the Application:

• Is provided for informational and clinical support purposes only.
• Does not constitute medical advice.
• Must not be used as the sole basis for diagnosis or treatment decisions.

All clinical decisions, including prescribing, diagnosis, and patient management, remain the sole responsibility of the treating healthcare professional.

3. User Responsibilities

Users are responsible for:

• Using the Application only for its intended purpose.
• Verifying recommendations before clinical application.
• Exercising independent professional judgment.
• Complying with applicable institutional policies, clinical guidelines, and regulatory requirements.
• Maintaining the confidentiality of their account credentials.

4. Appropriate Use

Users agree not to:

• Misuse the Application or attempt unauthorized access.
• Modify, reverse engineer, or interfere with the normal operation of the Application.
• Use the Application for any unlawful or unauthorized purpose.

5. Limitation of Liability

The Application is intended to support, but not replace, professional clinical judgment.

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, AIIMS Bhopal and the software developers shall not be liable for:

• Clinical decisions made using the Application.
• Any direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential outcomes arising from reliance on the Application.
• Misuse, misinterpretation, or unauthorized use of the Application.

6. Privacy and Data Use

Use of the Application is also governed by the Privacy Policy.

Users agree to provide accurate information and use the Application responsibly in accordance with applicable institutional policies.

7. Updates and Modifications

AIIMS Bhopal may update or modify the Application and these Terms of Use from time to time to improve functionality, maintain security, or comply with applicable legal or institutional requirements.

Continued use of the Application following such updates constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

8. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by the applicable laws of India and the institutional policies of All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS) Bhopal.

Any disputes arising from the use of the Application shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the competent courts in Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh, India, unless otherwise required by applicable law.
